Responsibilities
- Review electrical, safety, and system layouts to align PLC design.
- Test, debug, and document PLC code and system functionality.
- Execute test plans at area, zone, and section levels.
- Configure component-level devices and support commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on conveyors, motors, drives, and related systems.
- Monitor progress, manage and execute punch lists, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Conduct integrated system-level testing and quality checks on-site.
- Ensure compliance with all jobsite safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to support project.
Requirements
- Proficient with Allen-Bradley PLCs, PowerFlex VFDs, SICK and Banner sensors, and industrial cameras.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in material handling or industrial control systems.
- Proficient with PLC hardware/software and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, AS-i).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics/Electrical/Automation/Robotics Engineering, or related field.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and work closely with panel builders/designers.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills across multidisciplinary systems.
- Knowledge of networking principles, project scheduling, and control system integration.
- Proactive, accountable, team‑oriented, and able to prioritize work effectively.
- Willingness to learn and travel 100% of the time for system commissioning and support.
- Able to climb ladders and lift up to 30 lbs without difficulty.
- Capable of working 10‑hour days in construction environments.
- Comfortable standing, walking, sitting, and climbing stairs for extended periods.
