position objective
ensure financial soundness by meeting all financial, accounting, and tax obligations in accordance with applicable regulations from entities such as the energy regulatory commission, national hydrocarbons commission, tax administration service (sat), sipac, inegi, and the ministry of economy. Guarantee accuracy, clarity, and transparency in financial, legal, and management information for the organization.
profile requirements
education:
bachelor's degree in accounting or related fields (certified public accountant preferred).
experience:
proven experience in the
hydrocarbons sector
, working on exploration, production, or commercialization projects.
in-depth understanding of laws and regulations governing the hydrocarbons industry.
skilled in financial statement consolidation, accounting for joint ventures, and managing fiscal obligations.
experience with clients, internal and external suppliers, and auditing processes.
proficiency in electronic accounting, transfer pricing studies, and financial analysis.
strong background in supervising financial and administrative operations.
technical knowledge:
regulatory and tax frameworks for the hydrocarbons sector.
ifrs and mexican financial reporting standards (nif).
labor and tax legislation.
official mexican standards (nom/nmx).
hydrocarbons income law.
advanced command of accounting software and erp systems.
key responsibilities
oversee accounting and financial operations in oil exploration and production projects.
prepare and submit financial reports to the mexican oil fund (sipac).
analyze and present accurate financial reports to management.
consolidate and issue sector financial statements following accounting standards.
supervise the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
ensure timely fiscal and accounting closings.
oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
manage billing collections, supplier payments, and monthly accruals.
review and file tax declarations.
address audit and compliance requirements.
guarantee adherence to national and international financial and tax regulations (ifrs, nif)
