Job description: the business development representative/lead qualifier will be responsible for contacting schools and teachers via telephone and email to promote worldstrides' services, qualify potential program leaders, gather information, and verify details regarding their travel plans. The role involves generating business opportunities for the sales department by prospecting and qualifying contacts in our database to identify viable leads for follow-up. We primarily contact teachers interested in organizing trips for their students, working with various tour types, including domestic k12 educational tours within the us focused on history, science, civil rights, and national parks. Responsibilities: make calls and leave messages for teachers nationwide using talk tracks for live calls. Send follow-up emails. Participate in special projects, including competitive calls, outreach to unassigned schools, and telemarketing efforts for specialty schools. Research schools periodically to identify top prospects and maintain the database. Use templates to create and send flyers and update powerpoint presentations. Qualifications: experience in sales, marketing, promotions, or telemarketing preferred. Proficiency in relevant computer applications, including crm systems. Knowledge of customer service and sales principles is desirable. At least six months of experience in sales, lead creation, or lead qualification, preferably with telephone sales. Familiarity with office rules and environment. High school diploma or ged required. Excellent english skills (85% proficiency). Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies is a plus. Proactive and organized attitude.
