The Senior ME and Maintenance Manager, integrally manage the areas of Process Engineering, Maintenance, Testing, Automation, NPI (New Product Introduction), Facilities, and Industrial Engineering, ensuring the efficient, safe, and competitive operation of the SMT (Surface Mount Technology), PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly), and Final Assembly manufacturing areas, as well as facilities and services.
To drive continuous improvement and technological innovation through the optimization of production processes, the implementation of automation solutions in final assembly, and the strengthening of equipment and infrastructure reliability.
To ensure the correct introduction of new products and technologies, the reduction of operational and cycle costs, compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, IPC), as well as the alignment of engineering strategies with the organization's integral objectives for productivity, quality, safety, and sustainability."
Your role:
- Process Engineering: Standardize and continuously improve the SMT, PCBA, and Final Assembly manufacturing processes.
- Strategic Direction: Establish KPIs and action plans for operational efficiency, equipment availability, and goal attainment (or goal achievement).
- Maintenance and Reliability: Oversee preventive, predictive, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) maintenance strategies. Guarantee equipment and infrastructure availability and reliability.
- Automation: Promote automation in final assembly and testing.
- Talent and Culture Management: Develop and retain technical and leadership talent. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, safety, and environmental responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards: Development of continuous improvement. Understand the general terms required by IATF 16949 and understand the general terms required by ISO 14001 (Environmental Policy, Environmental Objectives, Environmental Aspects, Significant Environmental Aspects, and Operational Control).
What do you need?
- 10+ years in automotive electronic manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a manager position.
- Advance English.
- Bachelor ́s degree on mechatronics, electronic engineering or related. (MBA on Manufacturing Engineer desirable).
- Proven leadership experience in Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electronic assembly processes (SMT, PCBA, functional testing) and automated lines.
- Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Knowledge of IPC 610.
- Details and result oriented mindset.
