Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, ensuring client objectives are met. This includes interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages, managing schedules and budgets, overseeing general contractors and other directly contracted vendors and consultants, reviewing construction, correcting and assessing work in place, approving capital expenditures, planning, organizing, scheduling and controlling project delivery on time.
Qualifications
- 8-12 years professional experience as a project manager.
- Sector experience e.g. corporate occupier, retail, real estate.
- Experience in commissioning.
- Engineering or architectural degree with chartered status.
- Fluent in English and Spanish at a working level.
- PMI or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM.
Skills and Qualifications
- Run and lead client and required meetings, presenting updates at all project stages.
- Stakeholder management: lead local client and report to global team.
- Manage risks and control the risk register, conduct risk workshops.
- Identify factors influencing construction costs and monitor/report data.
- Issue reports as agreed with client.
- Run field quality control for civil works.
- Support design management and review to identify construction methods opportunities.
- Support engineering decisions related to project cost and budget during design-build changes.
- Review requested payments.
- Advocate for client during disputes, disagreements, modifications, or change orders.
- Track and manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
- Track equipment to meet schedule.
- Lead value engineering sessions.
- Oversee transfer of building operations to client including closeout documentation and warranties.
- Collaborative approach, client-facing, strong relationship building, confident presentation.
- Assertive, detail-oriented, proactive issue resolution.
- Demonstrable track record in relevant project delivery.
- Advanced skills with spreadsheets, report writing, presentations.
- Management experience, lead team to deliver commissions and general line management.
- Manage revenue, team resources, priorities.
- High quality awareness, lead quality control action.
- Knowledge of health and environmental safety in construction.
- Effective communicator, verbal and written.
- Self-starter, team player, natural leader, motivator.
